Citations & Sources shows which pages and sites AI cites and trusts for your category. Citations make up 35% of your Visibility Score, and they’re the most practical lever you have: a page that AI already cites is a page you can get onto.

KPI cards

A split of all citations between Your site, Competitors (confirmed or listed competitors’ domains) and Third parties (everything else). Shares are of links, not of answers.

Kinds of source AI trusts here

Every cited domain is classified as one of: Review & roundup, Brand site, Forum, Media, Marketplace, Reference, Video, Social, Recipe & how-to, or Other. This tells you what kind of evidence the engines want for your category. If it’s mostly forums and video, a new page on your own site won’t move much.

Citation share over time

Each owner’s share of each day’s citations.

Top cited domains

The 20 domains cited most, ranked by the number of answers citing them, not the number of links. One page cited twice in the same answer counts as one answer. Pages AI cited in answers that recommend a confirmed competitor and never name you. This is your outreach list: get listed, reviewed or included on these pages. Columns: Page, Type, Recommends (which rival), Times.

Your pages AI cites

Your own pages that AI links to, joined to your server logs. The AI crawler column shows the last verified AI crawl of each page. The card also tells you how many of your cited pages had no verified AI crawler visit in the range, which is usually why a page stops being cited. This card needs an integration.

How citations are counted

  • Click-tracking parameters (utm_*, srsltid and similar) are removed before counting, so the same page is never counted twice.
  • Links that pass through an engine’s redirect are followed to the real article before being attributed.
  • An answer cites you when it links to any page on your domain or its subdomains.
