# Sign-in and account security

> Sign up, verify your email, sign in, reset your password and manage your sessions.

## Create an account

Sign up at [app.rankraft.ai/signup](https://app.rankraft.ai/signup) with your name, email and a password of at least 8 characters. A short phrase works well. Use an address you'll keep: temporary inboxes aren't supported.

## Verify your email

We email you a verification link. Open it to finish setting up your account. It works for **24 hours**. If it expires, choose **Send a new link**. You can't sign in until your email is verified.

Sign in at [app.rankraft.ai/login](https://app.rankraft.ai/login). If the email or password is wrong, you'll see *Incorrect email or password*. We never say which one was wrong, so nobody can use the sign-in form to find out who has an account.

Public forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile.

## Reset your password

1. Click **Forgot password?** on the sign-in page.
2. Enter your email and click **Send reset link**.
3. Open the link within **one hour** and choose a new password.

For privacy, the confirmation page looks the same whether or not the address has an account.

## Profile

Open **Profile** from the account menu.

* **Personal info:** your name, email (with verification status), organization and role.
* **Change password:** enter your current and new password. Changing it signs out your other devices.
* **Active sessions:** every device signed in to your account, with when it was last used. Sign out any device, or all other devices at once.

## How we protect your account

* Passwords are stored only as salted, slow hashes, never in plain text.
* Sessions are stored only as a hash, so a database leak can't be replayed as a login.
* Site keys are stored only as a fingerprint and shown once.
