# Manage competitors

> Add, confirm, archive and restore the brands you're measured against.

Competitors are found automatically. RankRaft AI reads the brand names AI puts in the same answers as you. You decide which of them are real rivals.

Open **Competitors** and scroll to **Who you're tracked against**, or click **+ Add competitor** at the top of the page.

## Confirm discovered brands

New brands appear under **Found in your answers — are these competitors?** They're measured, but kept out of your leaderboard and share of voice until you decide. Because they come from what AI names, retailers and content channels turn up alongside real rivals.

For each one, choose:

* **Competitor:** moves it into your tracked list. It now counts in the leaderboard, rank, share of voice and as *top competitor*.
* **Not a rival:** archives it.

If two or more discovered brands are waiting, the Action Center pins a card asking you to confirm them. Do this first, because it changes what every competitor figure means.

## Add a competitor yourself

Enter a **Brand name** and optionally its domain (`domain.com`), then click **Add**. Adding the domain lets RankRaft AI count when answers *cite* that competitor, not only when they name it.

## Archive and restore

Click **Archive** on any tracked competitor to remove it from your figures. Archived brands are listed under **Archived**. Click **Restore** to bring one back.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Confirming or archiving a competitor recalculates your leaderboard, rank and share of voice for every date range, including the past. Your own Visibility Score doesn't change, because it depends only on your answers.
